While other famous people may donate and do charity-work in private, Justin Bieber tells people about it in hopes of encouraging others to join him in making a difference.

Justin Bieber may be a world-famous celebrity, but that doesn’t stop him from taking time out of his busy schedule to help those less-fortunate than him.

He may be known as the teen that does it all, from singing and dancing to acting on television shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation but Justin Bieber doesn’t do all this work for himself. Justin regularly contributes to a number of different charities, in order to help out those less fortunate. The teenager from Canada has helped out charities such as the Pencils of Promise organization and the Give Back Hollywood Foundation, as well as many more.

Justin’s charity work is not about only him getting involved. Through his fame, Justin has also worked hard to get his fans and friends to get involved in charity work.

For Justin’s seventeenth birthday, he set up a website where people could go and donate money to the Freshwater Project. His goal was to raise $17,000 by his seventeenth birthday. By the time his birthday arrived, he had raised over $47,000.

With the release of his holiday album entitled “Under the Mistletoe” in November 2011, Justin announced that he would be donating a portion of the proceeds from every album sold to the Believe Charity Drive. The Believe Charity Drive involved a list of charities in which Justin donated money. He decided to give the proceeds to charities such as the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Musicians on Call, and City of Hope, as well as several other charities that focused on education and children. His reasoning behind donating a portion of his proceeds for his holiday album was that he not only wanted to raise millions of dollars for the charities, but he wanted to encourage his fans to get involved in giving back to the community.

Since Justin‘s rise to stardom, he has taken his fame and used it for good. He believes in giving back to the community and focuses on issues that affect kids all over the world. He has shown his fans how less-fortunate others are and how even the smallest of donations can help those in need. Whether it’s through donations or simply through volunteering in the community, Justin Bieber tries to show fans, friends and family members around the world that charity and volunteer work truly makes a difference.
